This tutorial was written for the Fedora lxde spin.
When you are new to Lxde – like me – it can be hard to find some basic options at first. The brightness settings -also called backlight settings- took me a while to figure out.
To change your brightness in Fedora 16 lxde:
Use your preferred editor to change the value in this file:
/sys/class/backlight/acpi_video0/brightness
The minimum value is 0 (darker) and the maximum value is 7 (brighter).
This small piece of code can be included in a website to forward someone to another location.
